Anachronox is an artificial planet that floats inside a larger artificial construct known as Sender One, and is one of the primary locations in the eponymous Anachronox.
Believed to have been created long ago by an ancient alien race as a quarantine zone, the name was derived from the hybrid of terms "anachronism" and "noxious", which roughly translates to "poison from the past".
